An adapter plate to bolt a Subaru manual gearbox to a Volkswagen 1.9 TDI engine. We 3D scanned the engine and the gearbox, printed thin trial plates to check the holes against the real parts, then drew the final plate so it could be cut from aluminium on a laser or plasma table. It went together with no adjustments.
